Definition: | A racemate comprising equimolar amounts of (R)- and (S)-cyclaniliprole. A broad-spectrum insecticide that provides excellent control of a wide variety of insects pests across crops including whiteflies, flea beetles, armyworms, caterpillars, moths, thrips, fruit worms, and squash bugs. It targets ryanodine receptors of calcium channels in insect cells leading to rapid cessation of feeding and long-lasting control. It is also capable of controlling insect pests that are organophosphate, pyrethroid, and carbamate resistant. |
