Fig. S2A Western blot using Pan antibodies directed against the human 14-3-3 proteins (van Hemert et al., 2004). Prior to treatment with the Pan antibody, the blot was pretreated with an extract of the E. coli strain BL21 codon+ in order to reduce aspecific background. Reference human proteins fused to YFP are described by van Hemert et al. (2004). Lane 1, purified human sigma 14-3-3 fused to YFP; lane 2, purified human zeta gene fused to YFP; lane 3, reference protein mix for molecular weight estimation; lane 4, zebrafish beta 1 gene; lane 5/6, zebrafish iota 1 gene; lane 7, zebrafish gamma 1 gene; lane 8, zebrafish eta gene.
