STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
We are interested in understanding the factors that contribute to region-specific gene expression in the pre-gastrula embryo and the early events involved in the specification of differentiated tissues in the early embryo. Recently our work has focused on the role of three T-box genes that encode related transcription factors in the patterning and subdivision of the mesoderm precursor population.
