Note: This statement combines anatomy and/or ontology terms with phenotype quality terms to create a complete phenotype (EQ) statement. For detailed information on individual terms, click the hyperlinked term name.
Name: skeletal muscle
Synonyms:
Definition: Muscle, composed of long cylindrical, multinucleated cells that attaches to the skeleton via tendons.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0005277]
Name: adipose tissue
Synonyms: white adipose tissue
Definition: Connective tissue in which fat is stored. All adipose tissue in the zebrafish is white adipose tissue and is comprised of adipocytes, stroma, macrophages and vasculature. Mature adipocytes express adipokines, such as adipsin, adiponectin, and leptin so white adipose tissue is considered an endocrine organ. The connective tissue is loose and infiltrated by a vascular network.
Ontology: Anatomy Ontology [ZFA:0005345]
Name: infiltrative
Synonyms: infiltrating
Definition: A structural quality inhering in a bearer by virtue of the bearer's penetrating or permeating another substance or area.
Ontology: Phenotypic Quality Ontology [PATO:0002103]
