Name: pharyngeal arch
Synonyms: pharyngeal arches
Definition: One of a series of paired bony or cartilaginous arches that develop along the lateral walls of the foregut. Name: adipose tissue
Synonyms: white adipose tissue
Definition: Connective tissue in which fat is stored. All adipose tissue in the zebrafish is white adipose tissue and is comprised of adipocytes, stroma, macrophages and vasculature. Mature adipocytes express adipokines, such as adipsin, adiponectin, and leptin so white adipose tissue is considered an endocrine organ. The connective tissue is loose and infiltrated by a vascular network.
